With 36,000 of our neighbors in B.C. on the move,

it’s high time to donate to Red Cross online instead of sitting in front of a screen and clicking one’s tongue and saying “How awful this is!” and doing absolutely nothing with the money we all can afford to give to some degree. It’s an easy and fast way to stand up and be counted, instead of doing nothing, showing instead that “No man is an island” and that you, too, are “involved in mankind” as John Donne so memorably, morally, and rightly put it. (*I suspect you would expect the same charity in return if you ever needed emergency help, which may very well happen one day soon in the chaotic, out-of-control world we currently live in which seems to be burning down everywhere.)
