Last week Calgary Stampeders won on a bonehead play by coach Jason Maas who refused to back the league’s outstanding player to go for it on 3rd and 4 at Calgary’s 11, and kicking a useless field goal instead.
This week Bo Levi Mitchell blew the Grey Cup by going for a touchdown (which was intercepted) at the end of the game rather than making a safe play so Calgary’s kicker could get the tying field goal and keep the game going. It is fitting that Calgary lost the game on a stupid error, same as the week before. They did not really earn the trip to the Grey Cup in the first place.
Both plays were dumb, dumb-headed, and dumb-ass. Two AB teams beat themselves two weeks in a row.
