Not with all the homeless people, tent encampments, beggars, druggies, and violence. The graffiti, the spit and excrement. The dangers to women and children in public places like LRT stations and underground corridors.
The city’s new slogan with cutesy emoji requires critical thinking and double-thinking to be true and accurate. Downtown Edmonton remains dangerous right down to the Joey Moss ‘Mosshpit in front of Rogers Place. By all means go, if you feel the need to be stabbed or have a finger bitten off.
