They have put pressure on their UCP members, who have, in turn, put pressure on Kenney to end all public health measures. This party is no longer interested in public health and protecting the public. They are merely playing to their redneck base, no one else.

We try, but cannot fully scrape away
those ancient words engraved upon the soul.
We would instead compose upon the scroll

The COVID nos. are still high with people in hospital 1500+ and in ICU over 110.
Another Orwellian double-think moment: dumb-ass lies vs. truth/facts/stats.
Use your own judgement. What is the truth? Who’s lying for their own agenda? A no-brainer.

run amok, it is difficult for a common-sense, rational person who respects truth, authority, and the law to stand aside and say nothing. Having taught about good vs. evil for 30 years in high school English (Macbeth, King Lear, Othello, Hamlet, Lord of the Flies, Great Expectations, et al), I pretty much know corruption and evil when I see it in public.

Hence, many of my blog entries from the past 6 years. One has consciousness and a brain, but one has to speak out for truth when it is under fire. People need to be called out from time to time for stupidity, evil, and corruption. Crap-detecting we used to call it in university.

I declared myself long ago (c.f . below) and have many positive preferences for blog topics, truth be known. And, as much as possible these daze, I still try to write about those many positive things as I experience them in the course of a day.

cutting back on booze in the parks. Are these just booze-up party venues rather than public or family places? Finally, a good, decent, sensible move.

mow down lowly pedestrians and joggers on the 300 kms. of river valley paths they’ve been using as their private territory. City council must use common sense and preserve the safety of citizens on foot choosing to use the valley paths. Limits need to be applied for bikers.

to protect and recommend vaccine mandates as Sohi is in Edmonton. There is no need for cities and regions to blindly adhere to Kenney’s desperate political wish-fulfillment when it goes against common sense, reason, science, and the wisdom of medical authorities. Mayors have to be ready to assume responsibility for their people.

She can’t be trusted; has been in Kenney’s pocket all the way. She was the one who rubber-stamped the disastrous, deadly summer opening. ‘There’s blood on her hands.’ A terrible, untrustworthy doctor who betrayed her Hippocratic oath long ago.

in not dispersing the truckers. Callous and care-less, both.
Trudeau and Kenney are both feckless and cowardly, afraid to be ‘bad guys’ optically-speaking. Shallow selfish thinking without regard for the rights and freedoms of millions of Ottawa-ites and Albertans. Thinking only of themselves and government survival over the People.

Applying it to natives, but not hooligan truckers and rogue farmers blocking Alberta’s highways and destroying Alberta’s economy. Another major cowpie created and stepped in by Kenney and the UCP. Might as well not discriminate and scrap it.
