I saw him leaning back
on the park bench
as if he had all
the time in the world
lunchbox and thermos
beside him.
I asked him for
some spare change
but he didn’t say much.

Simple play is basic to life. As is the ability to laugh, particularly at ourselves.
Something here too about using juxtaposition to express irony and humor.
