(nice, informative Duke DVD, 2012)
A labor of love by several U.K. scholars including Jonathan Wordsworth (a relative). Shot on location with scenes at Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount as well as beautiful landscapes familiar to Wordsworth. Wordsworth’s poems are well-read by Ted Hughes. The scholars give quotes from the main poems, but the focus is more on the lives of Wordsworth and Coleridge with some passing references to Southey, and on the landscapes that inspired the first two’s great works. Easily the best video made on Wordsworth, giving visual background to his life and thought. Highly recommended.
