A Strong 2017 Documentary DVD on van Gogh

Highly recommended. Seventh Art Productions’ of Exhibition on Screen: Vincent van Gogh: A New Way of Seeing, a fullish 90 min. documentary from the Amsterdam van Gogh Museum nicely covering his life and art. The viewer gets to visit the well-stocked gallery to see a broad range of selections, many close-up in sensual detail. many of the museum’s prominent people offer comments on all aspects of van Gogh, including the grandson of Theo. Viewers are given new and full, accurate information about the artist’s life. For instance, “Wheatfield and Crows” was not his last painting and van Gogh sought a community of appreciation for his works, which he, ironically, has achieved now in posterity.
