The Mystery of Anastasia

No less than 5 imposters of the Czar’s daughter claiming to be her. Anna Anderson, the most famous one. Despite a corresponding ear shape, DNA test proved conclusively that she wasn’t related to Russian royalty. And eventually, the remaining two missing children’s bodies were found near the mass kill site, so no one got out alive from the massacre-assassination. Interestingly, there were also 5 people pretending to be the only son of Czar Nicholas. And two pretending to be a (phony) fifth daughter of which there are no birth records. Fake news all the way. The famous Anastasia movie, which won Ingrid Bergman an Oscar, is largely fiction. Worth seeing on the DVD, though, is the Biography episode from A & E.
