An electric fireplace which puts out good heat. Very unmessy and easy-to-breathe.
When not-in-use, I use my favorite Monet, “Le Bassin d’ Argenteuil” to cover the opening. Might as well have something beautiful to look at it. I subscribe to William Morris’s notion that what is in one’s house should be either beautiful or useful.
