as many Canadians totally abandon critical thinking, historical perspective and appreciation of country founders, common-sense contextualizing, and a general sense of balanced appraisals of people from over a century ago. None of these are required to vandalize or remove a statue which offends one’s personal political agenda. Like throwing out the baby with the bathwater on steroids.

Ours is not an age of reason, rational thinking, intelligence, smarts, discernment, contemplation, moderation, logic, analysis, common sense, subtlety, level-headedness, perspicacity, appreciativeness, gratitude, thankfulness, indebtedness, wit, irony, nuance, or even sanity.
People are incapable of making distinctions anymore; everything is now just black or white, depending on your political stripe or agenda.
