With no one minding the store for Albertans except the privileged ‘killers’: Kenney (Capt. Coward, Mr. Invisible, Chief Liar), Copping (hasn’t done a damn thing, like Shandro before), Hinshaw (making $350,000; her license should have been taken a way a long time ago), and Yiu (making 573,841; “fine words butter no parsnips”).

Zero caring and no political will to act with common sense, reason, or humanity. Blood is on and will continue to be on their hands. First and foremost. There is no way they can slither out of and totally pass the buck for this totally unnecessary disaster.

No, there is definitely no substitute for real, knowledgeable medical experts. (UCP has been a major cock-up from the get-go.)

There’s much unfinished business in the time remaining….

I’ve seen too many headlines saying the returning two Michaels meet with Trudeau and that sure doesn’t help the optics either.

Trudeau, deliberately wearing a white shirt, so he is the predominant figure in all the tarmac footage. Hugging both men and holding them. Wouldn’t it have been enough to shake their hands and leaving all the long embraces for their families?

This was all carefully choreographed to make Trudeau, not the two Michaels, look like the hero in that scene. Trudeau did not free them; fact: the United States did. Trudeau is, again, blowing up his role in things, taking false credit for their freedom.

He makes me really sick with his numerous phony, ongoing, drama-teacher manipulations in the past 6 years. This dope (he is not smart) is a total fraud and has not upheld his office and the law. This stunt on the tarmac this weekend is utterly feckless and shameless as usual in his latest effort to curry totally undeserved political support.

I’m sorry, folks. The real story this weekend is the two Michaels, not this egotistical dauphin-pretender with his frivolous  Henry V tennis balls.

This week an empty bag was left at the front door with the invitation to fill it with food for the less fortunate. Took about 5 mins. to fill and put outside for pickup today.

While I was on Air Miles this morning, I was reminded of previous donations to the food bank we had made using idle Air Miles. Saw a chance to contribute to the Kids Phone emergency line. A no-brainer. 500 Air Miles became $50 for this worthwhile fund.

Salvation Army, our favorite charity, sent out a request for donations. Whatever we give will be doubled, so say $40 becomes $80, which makes one feel even more like giving and giving more. Every little bit helps.

Kenneth Clark, of the old Civilisation tv series, remarked on the 19th century as the beginnings of charity, which is, indeed, the most humane aspect of our 21st century society still. It doesn’t kill one to drop change or bills into the Remembrance Day donation boxes soon to be sitting again on store counters, does it?

over 1,000 Covid patients in hospital, with staff burning out, with doctors on the verge of triaging, and the feds on the ready for a week now to send help to AB, what, precisely, is Kenney waiting for? And why?

We know he doesn’t like the optics of such a move and doesn’t want to be seen accepting help from Justin, and that his party is upset with him. This is a pure ego stand/choice being put ahead of/in spite of this extreme pandemic emergency. He is more than willing to cut off his nose to spite his face. This guy is seriously mentally ill and needs to be replaced immediately.

Kenney vs. the people. Kenney vs. the sick and dying. Kenney vs. medical expert advice. Kenney vs. the Liberals. Kenney deliberately ignoring how his ridiculous 3-week holiday has been killing innocent Albertans and infecting his base. Totally reckless and without a shred of moral responsibility.

As each story is reported on tv, my wife and I shake our heads over the failure of common sense in most cases.

The non-caucasian woman freed of any responsibility or charges in the case of losing control of her bus, wreaking all kinds of damage and killing innocent people. Like Hello?

The anti-vaxxers who feel their rights are infringed on by the proposed PQ bill to keep them away from kids and health care personnel, schools and hospitals. Like, Go protest somewhere else. Your ‘rights’ are infringing on the safety, health, and sanity of many more others. You are not the majority. Beat it.

With all the Trumpian and redneck influences as well as the political correctness run off the rails, a return to common sense and courtesy is long overdue in this suddenly uncivil country.

What a shame that justice and the rights of the majority should be trampled into the dirt by these Covidiots and whack-jobs!
