Charade (1963)

A classic comedy-mystery-romance set in Paris starring the very funny, charming Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, with strong support cast-acting by Walter Matthau, James Coburn, and George Kennedy. The Peter Stone script is quite entertaining without the usual sex and coarseness of today’s insulting, so-called comedies. Director Stanley Donen keeps a great flow throughout punctuated by the delightful playfulness of the two stars. Highly recommended for anyone who thinks old films can’t be fun and suspenseful.
