Collecting painted Roger Tory Peterson cards from Red Rose Tea. These albums (birds–1959, animals–1960) were the two most popular ones. Other albums included Tropical Birds (1963) and Wild Flowers of North America. You could send for individual cards (1 cent), all album cards (50 cents), albums (25 cents). I was never able to fill the animals album, but in the ’80s bought completed albums for the two pictured above. Another olde, retro childhood dream fulfilled.
